For many people a dream: living in a tiny house. Stripped of all ballast, with only what a person really needs. This phenomenon is still fairly new in the Netherlands, but the first tiny house for permanent residence is now being built.

Dutch legislation is also not yet fully geared to this new form of living, among other things, the combination of permanent habitation and changing location (in the case of a tiny house on wheels) presents several officials with a considerable brain teaser. So kudos to those who are championing this topic and paving the way for others who will undoubtedly follow!

Designing a tiny house

Designing all the features on about 25m2 is an art, but it can be done. With a large dose of creativity, designers know how to create the most beautiful tiny houses: from modern variants with lots of glass and steel to rustic designs made of wood.
